Description
Dottye was the Artistic Director for the Asbury Performing Arts Theatre in Washington, DC for over ten years. During that time, she wrote, directed, and produced over twenty Biblical Skits and One-Act plays. One of her productions, The Honorable Josiah Henson ended its run at the Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site in Ontario, Canada. Dottye’s passion is taking a Biblical story we all know and love and writing it from the backstory—from a different point of view—thus bringing new life into a beloved story. She continues to write productions for her current church, Kingdom Fellowship AME Church in Silver Spring, MD.
